Saya Lushek – Self-Titled.

Bad

What’s the best way to ensure Deko will never listen to your album? Release it with an anime cover. Fortunately, Saya Lushek had impressed me with a single released under a less obnoxious display, leading me to his Self-Titled. I should have taken the cover as a warning.

6ремя мешает воспоминания и сны. я тоже их смесь. а кто ты? Is basically China Gate, without the eccentric instrumentation, and encapsulated within a wall of sirens. It’s a nifty song. The remaining EP is nowhere near as good: бабочка в правильном геликоиде is a lame loop stretched out for 2 minutes, притворившись немым is a bland prog-rock song that feels more out of place than Kamala Harris in the White House, and the closer реквием, is a 90-second piece that sounds like the introduction to a death metal suite, with the rest of the song missing.

Saya Lushek’s Self-Titled isn’t necessarily bad, it’s just extremely bland. On the positive side, it’s only ten minutes long. I wouldn’t be surprised if the artist spent that much time on the music. Regardless, he definitely spent more time on the album cover than anything.
