DJ Fetchsnatch - [HD​​]​​意味なし。 センスなし

DJ Fetchsnatch is an experimental dark-ambient producer from Brooklyn, New York. His debut, [HD​​]​​意味なし。 センcontains some neat ideas, but far too much fluff. Much of the album is comprised of old songs being paul-stretched out, with minimal textural work applied. The technique is not only worn out through the scene, but even becomes very tiresome by the end of the record.

There are certainly some neat sounds, such as during (RARE) ストリート (**ライブ**) , but they are delivered in a very plain and sterile manner. The slow-down paulstretched plunderphonics result in a conceptually trippy and exotic soundscape on  自然をやめる ~ Quit Nature, though they seriously lack substance and progression. Much could be said about the delirious ^Shattered;Screen/ 生活なし. Somehow the long songs are the best; in fact, they’re quite magical. シンフォニーオブハムサンドイッチパート24（C＃4のキー）is fully realised and texturally very satisfying, and the light progressive elements keep (どんな) s p r e a d。 ´な美しさを。〜残すのか engaging throughout the first half, though they end rather plainly. Had the mixtape been comprised of these two songs exclusively, it would have come with a recommendation; unfortunately, DJ Fetchsnatch insists on wasting your time with the remaining monotonous filler. Perhaps the most insulting effort is the closer, それは大丈夫だ (´C. O. M. E.`), which is simply another artist’s song slowed down for over seven minutes, with very little addition on behalf of Fetchsnatch.

DJ Fetchsnatch is clearly capable of cultivating wonderous and psychedelic soundscapes; though  sadly he lacks the ability to develop them. Many of the songs lack distinct sections and offer very little outside one or two ideas stretched out. Moreover, at times the album is insultingly lazy and unapologetically boring. Here’s hoping DJ Fetchsnatch will develop his sound in future with more respect for his craft.
