Perald b Better - So It's Time To Be Happy (The 1st Online Shopping Music Album)

I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was biased going into So It's Time To Be Happy (The 1st Online Shopping Music Album) by Perald b Better. How could you not be with such an obnoxious cover? Released on July 5th, 2021, the album was a test to one’s patience.

Right off the bat, the album starts with a jittery electronic bass-driven section. The song eventually does become more melodic by the end, though the journey there is rather arduous. The exact same technique is used throughout Africa; an obnoxious midi-remix of the hit single by Toto, and lastly on Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. It almost sounds like both these songs were processed through an algorithm to sound as demented as possible. Despite some interesting sounds, overall it’s insufferable.

To its benefit, the album is somewhat innovative. Its unique sound design is identifiable right out of the gate. It’s simultaneously unpleasant, though; I wouldn’t even recommend it ironically. Furthermore, it took me multiple attempts to get through the album in one sitting. Like all new ideas; it just needs work. I can see exactly what the artist was going for; they simply just have a long way to go.
