Lil X - EP 1

One might question why I’m reviewing something so insignificant and atrocious; it’s simply because I’ve listened to it far too many times to go on without writing my opinion on it.

It’s difficult to go into detail about each track individually; they could all simultaneously be summarised as tracks being someone else’s production with Lil X’s obnoxious vocals slapped over the top. What’s worse, is Lil X’s loathsome lyrical content, in which he often refers to smoking weed and having sex as a 12-year-old in effort to sound cool. Fortunately, the tracks fall into a category of “so bad it’s good.”

The only positive thing one can say about Lil X’s debut is that it’s not as bad as Nikola Tomašević’s Binary Instruction Tracks. The album is not insufferable; it’s simply laughably bad. Moreover, it’s difficult to hate on a little kid’s SoundCloud; yet there are few 12-year old’s who have proven they can produce far more imaginative and inspired music effortlessly. If Lil X was less concerned with his image, and more concerned with expanding upon his composition skills, he could produce something more personal and entertaining.
